a breakfast party with astrobrights

Recently, I worked with Astrobrights Papers to put together an event to celebrate and host some of the teachers they collaborate with regularly.  They asked for some fun party decor, and a couple of crafts to work on with the guests, to show them some fun new ways to work with their gorgeous line of papers.

The event was held at Sun in My Belly, a beautiful and especially yummy place, and I created some large paper flowers to brighten up the space a little more.  I followed this tutorial, which was really simple.  Vivi even helped me make some which she loved, and also requested a few in extra crazy colors for her to place in her room.

On the farmhouse table, we added a bright runner in Astrobrights plasma pink, and wrapped these gorgeous and oh-so-soft napkins with twinkly gold pipe cleaners.  I tucked in a straw and (teacher's favorite!) flair pens in bright colors along with a slip of bowtie shape paper for extra color.  You could also write names on the slips of paper to use as place cards.

I attached some of the flowers to bulletin boards, to hopefully inspire our teacher guests.  They would make super fun spring classroom decor!

I spent some time crafting with the guests of honor.  I showed them how to make the paper flowers, and we also made these punchy color wheels, which were super easy (just cut the shapes with scissors and glue them on with a glue stick, and then use cute washi tape to attach them to dowels!) and bright.

The teachers were so sweet, and it was fun celebrating and working with these women who give so much to our children every year!

Thanks so much to Astrobrights for including me in this fun morning!  To see a couple of other project I have done with their beautiful line of crafting paper, check out our little 4th of July celebration here, a Thanksgiving kids' table here, and a more grown up Thanksgiving setting here.
