Shiny and sweet, this room is girly for sure.  Add white molding or trim to the walls and keep the color scheme simple with turquoise/aqua, white, and silver for a sophisticated feel.  If that chandelier is a bit pricey, go for one of these inexpensive Home Depot models and spruce them up with a bit of silver metallic spray paint.  This rug also has a slightly friendlier price tag.
