a walk in the park:

on the go favorites

diaper bag favorites Timi and Leslie kindly sent a sample of this messenger bag from their canvas collection, and after nearly six months of putting it to the test, I have to say I love it.  I am not one to spend a lot on bags/purses, but this one would be well worth the money, and it's not all that expensive, either.  It's super durable (and I know how to wear a bag into the ground! Every other diaper bag I have purchased has fallen apart at this point!), comes with durable stroller straps (awesome!), can be worn cross body (great when chasing toddler!), and has an infinite number of pockets, pouches, and enclosures, which keeps even myself organized.  It also comes with a super handy changing mat, and a clip for your keys (I'm infamous for having to dig for mine in the black hole that my purse often becomes).  Truly, I'm crazy over it.  Above are a some photos of it in action, as well as a few of my other favorite things to tote around these days (hitting a few of the high points below):

-that Monkey teether: Brigette was desperate for something to chew on and I had managed to ruin Vivi's Sophie in the sterilizer awhile back.  I came across this one at Target and she absolutely loves it.

-those jeans: I love these jeans.  They are a bit pricey, but I managed to luck up on a pair on super sale at Anthropologie.  They are by far my favorites; I love the fit and I can't complain that they run slightly large so I had to order down a size.  Plus the zippers are an endless source of fascination and delight to Vivi.  She has concluded they give her easy access to my imaginary boo-boos so Dr. Yay-Yay can treat them.

-those blankets: These are my favorite on the go blankets.  They are SO lightweight and breathable, with a double panel in the middle and handy tabs on the corners for easy attachment to the stroller or carseat.  I have one with me on every outing to keep Brigie shielded from the sun without adding heat/weight.  I also tuck them around the ergo quite often to keep her little elbows and toes covered as well.

-those burp cloths: I can't resist these adorable cloths.  I usually have one over my shoulder to catch the inevitable spit up and I don't mind because of all the pretty patterns.

Do you have any diaper bag favorites to share?
