elephant neutral baby room ideas

Ankita emailed asking for ideas around a “royal indian” theme focusing on the elephants.  I thought that sounded like a lovely idea, and found the above vintage India travel posters to be particularly inspiring.  If the dark walls seem too dramatic, a bright aqua or even green would be pretty, and the classic colors keep it neutral, but you could easily tweak the reds to be more pink for a girls’ room.  That dresser is quite expensive, but I love the heavy glossy finish; Benjamin Moore’s red tulip has a touch of pink to it, which would add a lot of punch to the room should you have an old dresser that needs a facelift.

Vintage travel posters are a weakness of mine, and these are so good! I love the idea of a nursery (or any room) inspired by a place as brilliant as India. Great inspiration board!

So beautiful!  I love those dark colors.  Perfectly cozy for a baby’s room I think.  I just used that same “My roots are here” print!

Royally cool mix of stuff! Thanks for showcasing the green geo sari pillow from SOMA Goods. We would love to see our wares featured in a real nursery!
