monday happy list 6.24

baby at the beach

We just got back from the beach, and now we are spending a little time at my parents', trying to squeeze all the fun out of these last few weeks of summer.  We had such a good time at the beach, and are enjoying long, sweet afternoons.  I have some other fun content for this week, but wanted to do a quick happy list as a recap of the past couple of weeks:

(1) We did a lemonade stand.  The girls had been wanting to do one, and I felt like I just had to make it happen.  I'm so glad we did.  It felt a little crazy doing it the day before we left for the beach, but sometimes you just have to make those things happen, or the moment will have just passed you by.

(2) These sweet rompers and dress from Lali Kids.  The patterns are the sweetest, and the fabric so soft!  They feel like heirlooms, and are so cute on the girls!

(3) I happened across this swim dress at Target, and I love it.  I wore it all last week.  It's super cute and flattering, and doesn't feel too mom-ish.  It comes with removable straps, so you can wear it strapless or with if that's a little too risky with grabby little people.  I like having a little extra coverage when hanging around the side of the pool or chasing toddler types!

(4) I dyed my hair purple (you can kinda tell in the photo above) and I love it.  It's washed out a lot, but still has a lilac hue, and it's so fun.  It's just nice to do something different; sometimes I think as moms it's easy to feel stuck where you are, but there is always space to change things up!  Taking care of yourself is so important when you are constantly pouring yourself out for little ones.  It makes such a difference, and my girls' reaction was the best!  They loved it, which was super fun.

(5) Also, I finally finished up the craft room!  I love how it came out, and best of all, Vivi is beside herself with it.  I wanted to get it done earlier, but it turns out we haven't been home as much this summer as I expected.  We'll be loving it when we return, though, and it will be a great spot for Vivi to do her homework!  Below is a little peek:

Hope your week is getting off to a great start!
