seven month baby favorites

It's hard for me to believe this little squishy has been a part of our family for seven months now, and that she's closer to being a year old than when she was born.  She is the best ray of sunshine; persistently happy and cheerful and always grateful for attention from her big sisters.  I can't get enough of holding her, snuggling her and carrying her.  I try to do it as often as I can, because I feel painfully aware of just how brief this little window of time is. (see more nursery details and sources here)

And, oh my goodness, I forgot how cute sitting up babies are!  It's just the best, watching her perched on her little diapered bottom, watching and observing all that is going on around her and doing her best to reach for and grab whatever is nearby.  Here are a few of her current favorites, along with sitting up:

(1) Fox Rattle - this little guy makes the cutest squeak, and she loves him!  I linked to one similar, as this exact one isn't on their website, but I'm sure you can call and ask about it! (2) Chunky Animal Puzzle - She LOVES this.  While she can't actually do a puzzle, of course, she likes holding and gnawing on the pieces and taking it apart.  (3) Pink Donut Rattle - This is a favorite to gnaw on and shake.  It's also easy to throw in my bag and take on the go. (4) Little Snoopy Pull toy - She also loves moving this guy back and forth and pulling on his tail.  I'm sure it will be a favorite to pull around the house, too, in no time. (5) Abacus - I grabbed this at our last trip to IKEA because I love the colors, and she loves sliding the beads around! (6) This adorable swaddle blanket for on the go playing or stroller covering (I also love love the mini versions that are great for security blankets, burp cloths, or whatever is needed! I always have one or two in my diaper bag.) (7) Lamb - This little guy is who she snuggles with every night. I tried giving her a little bunny, but she insists on this one! (8) For teething, these are awesome.  I put one or two ice cubes, or some crushed ice, and she loves to suck on it.  It's also great on a super hot day to cool her off in the car or at the park.  Just be sure to use a bib!  It also keeps her pre-occupied while I cook supper.
