So, Vivi's fourth birthday is just around the corner, and we're doing sort of a "Vivi in wonderland" feel.  I'm working on some invitations, so I asked my talented friend Sara Harper to take some photos of the girls dressed up, and she was kind enough to indulge me.  I was so happy with what she captured (and impressed - because let's be honest - taking photos of an almost 4 year old and a 20 month old is a bit like herding grumpy, albeit cute, little cats) that I had to share.

I also figured it's some good costume inspiration.  Vivi's outfit is really simple; I used a little chambray dress, a white tutu underneath, some striped stockings (I ordered some striped all the way, but they didn't arrive in time), some black mary janes, and a plain black headband with a large black grosgrain ribbon tied to the top.  I made the little apron to go on top.

Brigette is supposed to be the little white rabbit, but really she was more of a "deconstructed" white rabbit.  She was totally not into wearing the ears (which is really unusual for her - she is usually all about the accessories!), but she was still adorable running around and chasing Vivi, although that's really the opposite of how it's supposed to work.

We brought along a few books and a teacup for some props.
