vivi's room

one year later

Turquoise & Pink Baby Nursery InspirationI have been meaning to do this post for awhile, but I have just now managed to get some new photos of Vivi's room.  (Unfortunately Chip couldn't take them this time around, so they aren't quite as quality.  I am not as familiar with using his fancy flash Fong thing.)  I just thought it might be helpful to show what has changed in Vivi's room as she has grown from infant to crazy toddler.  We haven't upgraded to a big girl bed, so more changes are to come, but here it is in its present state.  The changing table still works great, although she is much longer now, so I have a pillow at one end to keep her from bumping her head.  I know a lot of toddlers (especially boys!) are much too active to stick with the changing table at 17 months, but it's still working for us.  We moved the kitchen into her room at Christmas, and to make room we moved the larger Ikea bookcase into the sunroom for a playspace, and purchased one of the smaller ones to replace it.  It provides plenty of storage, and I added super shiny gold dots to make it a little more glam.  The glider is still in her room (it's the one thing that I don't absolutely love in terms of looks - but it is super comfortable, it was quite inexpensive at $400, and I still use the heck out of it) and we moved it to the other corner to make more of a play area.  One other change is that we quickly replaced the light curtains with blackout drapes, which made a huge difference in Vivi's sleeping - I highly recommend it!Pink and Turquoise Baby Room Ideas(I've included links in the pink margin to past posts on the details in Vivi's room.)
