Yesterday, I posted about the little spiders and bats the girls and I made together, and here is how we used them!  Things have been a little crazy around the house lately with projects, so we took advantage of the sunshine that finally came out and had a little mini party outside.  Vivi loved helping me string up the garlands and such, and we bought some special little cupcakes for the occasion, which make anything extra fun!  The girls also wore these adorable costumes from the Land of Nod and keep asking when we are going to do this again!  Vivi was a Pink Flower Supergirl and Brigie was a little butterfly princess (they have so many cute and original options!!).

Vivi's outfit went really well with this awesome Little Gloriana Dress and pink boots, and Brigie work a pink leotard and birdie leggings and cowgirl boots with hers, along with this adorable headband.

I sometimes struggle with the halloween decorations, because to be honest, it's not really my thing and I'm not into the creepy/scary parts.  The girls absolutely love dressing up, though (it's probably second only to eating cupcakes), and it's so fun to get excited about the season, so I was happy to find a compromise that is cute and sweet and also seasonal.  I think sticking with a simple black and white and metallic color scheme keeps it a little more on the cute side, and makes it simpler to decorate.

The playhouse always makes a fun backdrop, too, and they love getting to use the mini sized tables.

It's also just plain fun to turn a regular afternoon into an extra memorable one.  So, here's to turning plain old Tuesdays into parties!
