great tops for early pregnancy

tops for early pregnancy

I wanted to share a few tops that I'm absolutely loving right now.  I'm in sort of that in between stage, where I feel like I'm in between looking pregnant, and perhaps just a bit extra fluffy.  Finding tops that make me feel confident and cute make a huge difference, and I've found that I always breathe a sigh of relief when I give in and realize that my regular clothes aren't working any more, and I just need to find something else.  I have a hard time with maternity tops, though.  It seems the ones that aren't crazy expensive just aren't my style.  In the past, I've bought some simply because they fit and look ok, but now that I'm sifting through my bin of maternity clothes, I just don't feel they are me.  I was excited to find some great options from my fave anthropologie that are working really well right now and (extra bonus) they are on sale plus an extra 20% off, so if you are in the same boat I am, I hope this will be helpful!  (As in, all the tops above are under $30!)  I love pieces that are super easy to wear, without a lot of fuss, and these keep things simple.

-Ok, this one isn't pictured because there wasn't a shot by itself, but I'm crazy about this shirt.  I love the split hem at the back, and the silky material won't cling to a belly band or maternity jeans, which I always find a plus!  The fabric is beautiful, and I think it will be wearable well into this pregnancy.  It also comes in a more neutral color as well.

(1) Striped Swing Tank: This top has lots of room, and the back detail and pattern options are really fun.

(2) Cutout Henley Tank:  This is just a simple basic top, but it's so easily wearable and is great for a fun night out, or taking the girls to the park.  I bought it in two colors, and it has plenty of room to grow and the neckline and button and back detail are really flattering.

(3) Knotted Lace Tank: Simple and sweet, I love the lace detail on this top, and it can easily be dressed up or down.

(4) North-South Swing Tunic: I adore this top.  I have it in two colors, actually, and I think I can wear it until the end.  It's soft, swingy, and a great length (i.e. covers my hips!) and I always get compliments when I wear it.

I also really love this dress.  It's feminine and pretty, with lots of room.  Plus, it's super cool for these long, hot days!

Now, anyone have suggestions for maternity jeans?  I'm on the hunt.  I don't love the big panel ones, and honestly haven't had much luck with them in the past.  I know some people don't actually get them, and make it through, but I don't know how they manage that!  I'd love to hear if you have any thoughts!
