my week with foofa
This week was a blast. I really am not super into Halloween, and cobbled together an outfit for Vivi last minute (it's been on my list for weeks, but just got around to it at naptime on Sunday), but was surprised to find it to be a week full of family fun. She adores Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba, and I figured it would make a sweet and easy costume, and if people didn't recognize her they would at least think she is a flower (which most did). She was a good sport about dressing up, and even walked around singing the Foofa song "I am so happy!". It was a week full of fun, from visiting the retirement home with friends on Monday, to a class party on Tuesday, to trick-or-treating on Wednesday. I have to say, though, I am super excited about moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
(P.S. I get a lot of comments on how Vivi's mouth is always open in pictures and I think it's because that is what I am usually doing on the other side of the camera. Ever since she started smiling at two or three months, I open my mouth and eyes wide to get her to smile, so she thinks that is what you do when you have your picture taken. I realized this when I saw a picture of myself taking a picture of her . . . and now I just say "excited face, Vivi!" and that is what she does. It is amazing to me, though, as we named her Vivien because it means "alive" or "lively" and I prayed she would be full of life, bringing life and joy to all those around her . . . and that is exactly what she is doing . . . in between typical toddler meltdowns, of course.)
(P.P.S. had to share her super awesome Foofa shoes from Vans. We bought them at a Vans store while we were in LA last weekend. I was missing my little toddler, and we couldn't resist! They are really great for all her running, around, though.)
