I get a lot of questions about great sources for kid art, and a lot of you have been interested in vintage maps, like the ones in this room above. I've rounded up some really great options; these make such interesting focal points because of all the textures, coloring, and loveliness that just comes from age.  They are also one of a kind, so when you find one you love, snatch it up!  It's unlikely you will find another just like it (as with the South America map above with the animals!).

A lot of these are from European sources, and some are in different languages, but I think that makes them even more interesting.  I have ordered from overseas sources for several maps, and they usually arrive before the estimated date, and I've been really happy with all of them.  Since they are vintage, some of them will have an "old" smell, but after displaying them for awhile, the smell will fade - just so you know!
