daddy snuggles
Last week, I saw the movie "Trouble With the Curve" with a friend. I thought it was really great. Perhaps that was due largely to my slightly elevated emotional state since I am pregnant, but cried several times throughout the movie. The main focus is around a grown-up daughter and her aging father. It is a wonderful picture of just how important and impactful that relationship can be, and I found myself often thinking about Chip and Vivi and pondering what their future relationship might look like. Then, I snapped the above right picture of Chip and Vivi last weekend (after her sweet little plea, "Hold you, Dada!") and was reminded of a similar photo I took of the two of them the day after she was born. So precious, with her snuggled into his neck and knowing what a safe place that is. I'm so thankful she has Chip as her dada. There is something very special about a daughter's relationship with her father, and it is not something to be taken lightly.
. . . It's a good thing, too, that he is so good at being a father to a daughter, because he gets to do it again - our second little peanut is a GIRL!
