on keeping up with friends

One of the biggest challenges I have faced throughout the past 18 months is keeping up with friends.  Recently I have begun trying to make more of an effort to spend time with those who mean much to me since it has gotten easier as Vivi has dropped to one nap and she is slightly more independent and consistent (all relatively speaking, of course).  However, it is never as much time as I would like it to be, especially since many of my friends don't yet have babies, and I have been trying to think of ways to stay in contact with those who mean most to me.  Talking on the phone is pretty counter-productive because staying focused on a conversation while watching a toddler is nearly impossible.  I decided to try to write at least one note to a friend per day, and let them know I thought about them and I said a prayer for them.  It's not quite a conversation, but my hope is the next time we see each other it won't seem like it has been quite as long.  I made the above cards with Vivi's picture and bought some gorgeous super bright neon pink envelopes (seriously, they are perfectly neon, if you are into it these days).  It makes me happy just putting them in the mailbox, and I hope it will bring a smile to those on the receiving end.  If you are interested, there is a printable in the margin (card size is 4.5" x 6.25" to go with the A6 envelopes) along with a link to the envelopes.  Feel free to one-up me and print photos of your own little darling instead!  Have a happy weekend, and here's to letting those we love know about it!
