Nursery Inspiration; Baby Girl Nursery Inspiration

Several of you have inquired about the color of Vivi’s Nursery.  The walls are Valspar Aqua Glow and the ceiling is a lighter shade of the same color, Valspar Grand Hotel Mackinac Blue.  {Also, please note that links corresponding to the numbers in the style boards are located in the margin so you can locate each item!}

{Amended to add the colors of the dresser and the pink/coral accents.  I purchased the dresser already painted that lovely shade of gray, but a close match is Martha Stewart’s Bedford Gray (found at Home Depot).  Bedford Gray has a slight bit of green in it compared to this dresser, but it’s close.  The pink/coral accents are painted Behr Spring Song.  Yes, I know.  Three different paint brands – what can I say?  I have a problem.}

  1. Can you tell me what color the dresser is? Love that gray!

    • LayBabyLay says:

      Hi Kellie – I actually bought the dresser already painted that color, and had to get it matched to do some touch ups. I’ll see if I can find a swatch that matches, because several people have asked! It is a great color – one of the reasons I loved that piece!

  2. how i love thee. a nursery that’s sophisticated, eclectic and fun but still feels appropriate. so well done, can’t stop looking at it. is it bad to want to have a kid just so i can design his or her nursery? {ok, don’t answer that. it’s bad.}

    Your nursery design is amazing! I am expecting a baby girl in April and still cannot decide on the final details of the room. This really looks wonderful, I am so inspired by your ideas. The color scheme is unique and lovely for a baby girl.
    Would you mind sharing where you purchased the crib bedding? I’m looking for something mainly white, classic with some vintage or ruffle accents. Thanks for sharing your beautiful room!

    Hey there, I am enamored with your nursery! Can you tell me where you found the glider– that color and shape is perfect.

    • Joni Lay says:

      Hi Brooke!  I’m so sorry I am just now responding to your comment – somehow I didn’t see it!  The glider is by Best Chairs and I purchased it from New Baby Products in Atlanta.   It’s a great chair, and the price is even better!  The brand is carried in a lot of stores, I believe: http://www.besthf.com/besthf/Storytime/Home

    i love the dresser! where did you find it?

    • Joni Lay says:

      Thanks so much, Sarah!  I purchased it from Livi & Co., a store in Albany, GA.  It is an older french provincial style dresser that has been re-painted.  I have seen quite a few at flea markets/antique shows, so if you keep an eye out, you should be able to find one similar at a good price!  Hope that helps!:)

      Hi Joni, love the dresser! I’ve been searching for quite a while and can’t find one. I’m local to Atlanta, do you mind sharing where I could go to look for a similar one? Right now poor baby Addy’s clothes are in plastic bins. Thanks for all the inspiration!
