Trends

Kate Byars dropped by the house a couple of weeks ago to shoot photos of the gorgeous framed portraits we just hung from our session last summer.  There are four in the dining room pictured above and there are two more portraits in our bedroom, but it is a current work in progress that I hope to share later.  (If you are new here, and want to see a little more of our home, check it out here.)  She also snapped some pictures around the house, including little peanut in her natural habitat.  I truly wasn’t thinking about photos, so thus Vivi’s unmatched outfit, etc. but I guess it really is a little glimpse into our afternoons.  There she is, playing with that record player she adores, and keeping current on her favorite books, another one of her most beloved activities these days.  Oh, those darling feet!

Thanks about the sign!  I made it – it’s gold vinyl on painted wood.  I’ll try to add something similar to the etsy shop soon!

Love your work. Do you by chance have any ideas using a “Alice in Wonderland” theme?

Your home and your daughter are beautiful!! Where did you find that record player? I had one like that when I was a child – do they still make those or is that “vintage”?
Love the sign you made too!

Hi Jacqueline!  Thank you so much!  Vivi’s record player is the one I had when I was little – my mom had it stashed away.  They have re-issued it, but it doesn’t appear to be quite the same: http://www.amazon.com/Basic-Fun-Fisher-Record-Player/dp/B003CGVCXS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329150799&sr=8-1.  You can probably find a vintage one, though – here are some on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/search?search_submit=&q=fisher+price+record+player&view_type=gallery&ship_to=US

      Hope that helps!:)
