A few of you have asked about Vivi's favorite books.  Here is a handful of current favorites (that I also enjoy reading).  I'll try to update here and there as it changes - which it does, frequently! A few notes - there are quite a few of the Frances books, and they are all cute, with stories that feel so familiar (i.e. there is a tiger in my room and I can't sleep!  I have a new baby sister and everything is different! I don't want to eat anything new!).  They are very wordy, though.  If you have a toddler who doesn't want to sit still for very long, they may not be the best choice, but Vivi really loves them.  We also have an audio version of "Bread and Jam for Frances" which we listen to in the car, and it keeps Vivi very entertained.  I wouldn't have thought about it, but my mom has a stash of books on tape from our childhood, and since my car has a tape deck, it's been fun to sample them and it seems to make Vivi extra enthused over the books that go with the tapes.
