DIY Christmas Decor with Astrobrights

Christmas Song DIY

I have one last little bit of Christmas inspiration with Astrobrights before the big day!  This is a fun little project that makes it easy to create a custom message board.  I love the idea of using it for a Christmas carol, but it could also be great for displaying a Christmas menu!  Astrobrights is a line of brightly colored paper that add an extra pop for decor to colorize your party or colorize your Christmas.  (to see my other Christmas decor ideas, go here and here!)

This project is pretty simple, all you need is:

plywood (I used 1/2" birch, but you could also use something else like poster board or foam core - I just liked the look of the wood!) | Astrobrights Cardstock | Scissors | Glue (I just used some Elmer's!)

Simply cut out your letters; I think they look best free-handed, but you can sketch them out if it makes you feel better.  Just go for it though, and you'll probably be surprised with the result!  I think the imperfections are what makes it interesting.  Lay your letters out, and be sure to nest them together a little to give it some personality.  Then glue them down, and you have your letter board!  I used Pulsar Pink, Fireball Fuchsia, Venus Violet, Celestial Blue, and Lunar Blue because it goes with the rest of my pastel-y Christmas decor, but if you like a more traditional look, it would also look great in Rocket Red, Re-Entry Red, Terra Green, and Stardust White (and those colors would look great with the natural wood, too!).

Thank you so much to Astrobrights for sponsoring this post!!  Hope you are inspired - can't believe the big day is only a week away!!  I still have a bit of shopping to do . . .
