a visit to the RH Baby & Child gallery in Atlanta

RH Baby & Child Gallery

My sister is expecting baby #2, and it's a girl!  Since her first was a boy, her world is all things trucks, tractors, and blue, and she is craving some pink to welcome baby girl.  As we dreamed about the space, we took into account her classic and polished taste, and it felt like RH Baby & Child would be a perfect fit to create a nursery.  They just opened a gorgeous gallery in Buckhead, right here in Atlanta, so it was super easy to visit the space to get a feel for everything in person and talk about plans.

The entire fifth floor of the gallery is dedicated to RH Baby & Child and RH Teen, and it's like walking into a miniature wonderland.  We set up an appointment with Alla, one of the experts there, who sat down with us and pulled samples and showed us how the space will feel.  It was so helpful to be able to feel the rugs and fabrics, and see how they really all go together.

She helped us make decisions, and we talked through some of Ashley's questions.  Alla sent us home with a sweet bag full of neatly packaged fabric samples and the paint swatch (they even have paint!).

This is such a great place to start if you are feeling overwhelmed!  Alla was so kind, and everyone was so accommodating.  It can be a little intimidating walking into an upscale store in Buckhead (with a baby, no less!), but we felt so welcomed and it was such a good experience and made us feel confident about the direction of Ashley's space.

I'll be sharing Ashley's design board next week, but above is the crib for the nursery.  I love the clean lines paired with traditional details.  It's so perfect for her!

I also went back with the girls to take a few more photos of the space, just so you can see how dreamy it is, and once again was so happy that everyone was welcoming to our little crew!  The girls thought it was a castle, and loved exploring all the rooms!  Half of the floor is RH teen, and the other half is RH Baby & Child, with nook after inspired nook of nurseries and bedrooms set up, which is so wonderful if you are more visual and need to see a space before committing!  Getting a feel for the scale is really helpful, too; it's hard to grasp that just from a catalog!

Love those giant wild animal prints!

The teen rooms are so fun!

I can't wait to share with y'all as Ashley's nursery comes together - be sure to check out the style board next week!  And thanks so much to RH Baby & Child for lending their expertise and time - the experience was so much fun!  Also, the Buckhead Gallery is across the street from much of the new Buckhead shopping; it makes for an excellent outing, so plan to spend a few hours, or the day there, grabbing lunch afterwards and shopping around!  Shake Shack, anyone?  Or if you want something a little more festive, check out King & Duke or Thirteen Pies for a delicious treat!
