Lenya sent me photos of the sweet room she put together for her little Matilda, and I had to share all the colorful goodness!   I love this happy rainbow palette, and all the thoughtful touches that make it feel sweet but not overdone.  She made the "you are my sunshine" banner because it was her Nana's favorite song, and she continued to hum it even after she lost the ability to speak after a stroke.  So sweet, right?

She used Look Sugar polka dot decals for the walls, which is such a great way to add personality to a room if you aren't able to/don't want to paint.  The crib is the gray Ikea Sundivik and the changing table is also from Ikea, and she picked up that vintage wicker chair for $35, so she did a fantastic job of adding lots of personality without lots of cost.

I love that sweet pink rug.  The room has carpet, but she layered a rug on top, which really anchors the room and lightens it up (so don't be afraid to try that if you have carpet but want the pattern and color a rug can add!).
