Modern Fireplace Screen Roundup
Our fireplace was always kind of a dark spot - the tile was a super shiny black, and it felt like it sort of sucked all the light out of the room. (And it's not that I'm opposed to black fireplaces - it was more the layout of the tile and the shininess of them - like they were leftover from an old bathroom project, and then used for the fireplace surround. Check out the before here!) Anyway, I did a quick fix of the tile, which really helped, but I wanted a brighter screen as well to help brighten things up.
(Also - wall color is Teresa's Green by Farrow and Ball. It's the prettiest, most calming color. They have Farrow & Ball colors in the system at Sherwin Williams, so you can purchase the colors or get samples there!)
I have been crushing on the one above for awhile, and I finally just went for it, and I love it so much - it really reflects the light in such a pretty way! The fireplace screen isn't something you might often think about as a piece to transform a room, but I rounded up several modern designs that are also fairly affordable if it's something that might help your space, too - all just in time for the cooler temps that are (hopefully) around the corner as we begin thinking about fall and Christmas mantels! What do y'all think? It's such a fun way to brighten up or change up a fireplace without having to do a more expensive overhaul! Now, I'm ready to put some pumpkins out . . .
